Clair Fisher Legacy - Blogs & Podcasts
Clair Fisher 1979-2022
Clair was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in 2018; throughout her treatment she was a passionate and influential advocate for improving wellbeing in palliative care. Clair was also behind dyingwell.uk, a website where she shared her story. The blogs from there were hosted, following her death, by What Works Wellbeing, a Centre with whom Clair was a long-time collaborator. Following closure of the Centre in 2024, Clair’s blogs are now hosted through Speak For Me.

How I met Clair Fisher by Clare Fuller
I first met Clair in 2021 after an exchange on Twitter. We started a conversation which led to me contributing to the Dying Well: conversations at the end of life. This project formed the foundation for a research project resulting in the Supporting employees with terminal illness: a guide to workplace policies and practice . Clair went on to provide a session for event I ran during Dying Matters Week 2021 and became the first guest on my podcast. It is a tremendous honour to be hosting Clair’s valuable work.
Wellbeing at the end of life podcast
For this three-part podcast mini series, Clair Fisher spoke to experts in wellbeing, palliative care and healthcare policy. The series discussed the importance of wellbeing when living with a terminal illness, what works based on the evidence available and the evidence gaps that need more exploration.
The expert guests who joined Clair are Kathryn Mannix, Ingrid Abreu-Scherer, Erica Borgstrom, Catherine Millington-Sanders and Sam Royston.
Wellbeing at the end of life
Why is a wellbeing approach important? What are the drivers of wellbeing? What’s the role of the workplace when living with a terminal illness, and how do we balance the needs of looking after ourselves and those around us? These are some of the questions discussed this episode.
Wellbeing at the end of life - evidence gaps
This episode explores the evidence gaps and what our guests would like to see happen next in the field of living with a terminal illness and wellbeing.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
