Conversations About Advance Care Planning

On 15.12.2021 I released my first podcast with an aim to improve professional understanding, raise public awareness and normalise conversations about Advance Care Planning. Fast forward to July 2024 and one hundred episodes have been released, each focusing on a different element of Advance Care Planning. The podcast was also featured this year as part of the Dying Matters resource which I am tremendously proud of – you can find the podcast and recommended reading list here.

I have been privileged to talk with professional experts and experts by experience. From these podcasts have I built an easily accessible repository of information about on Advance Care Planning.  You can access these Conversations About Advance Care Planning  directly through my website  (go to resource/podcast), or through your usual podcast provider such as Spotify Apple  and Amazon. The website will provide you with additional links and resource not accessible through podcast platforms.

This blog celebrates those 100 episodes, the fabulous guests I have spoken with and groups the podcasts by theme. My aim in doing this is to provide an easy reference guide, it will be useful if you are trying to find specific information for yourself, a family member or to share with your team at work. Listening to the episodes will enable you to:

·         Gain detailed understanding of a specific element of Advance Care Planning

·         Gain a general understanding of Advance Care Planning

·         Start a conversation with a loved one

·         Reflect on an episode as part of CPD

·         Add to your work resource/intranet
